RYSS BUS - CONDITIONS OF CHARTER

 

These conditions shall form part of the agreement for the Charter of the BUS:

 

  1. An Expression of Interest and Booking Form are to be completed prior to the Charter of the BUS.

  2. The Booking Service must nominate a RYSS approved Driver or person/persons as the driver of the BUS for the designated charter period and shall not allow any other person to act as the BUS driver.

  3. If the BUS is to be returned after office hours, an additional call out fee of $75 may apply to cover costs of RYSS staff accessing the BUS parking facility.

  4. The Booking Service shall be responsible for costs associated with malicious and willful damage by passengers/outreach clients during the charter period.

  5. The Booking Service will be responsible for all damage/repair costs attributed to negligence on the part of the Booking Service/Service Driver.

  6. The Booking Service shall be responsible for the payment of $750 excess applicable to any insurance claim arising from the Charter of the BUS.

  7. The Booking Service shall be responsible for all repair/replacement costs associated with the vehicle and BUS resources in the event of an insurance claim being rejected due to the actions of the Service Driver or a member of the Booking Service group.

  8. The BUS holds a maximum of 17 passengers including the driver, but is designated as a venue not transportation service. The transportation of passengers shall be the responsibility of the Booking Service.

  9. In the case of a breakdown the responsibility of the BUS lies with RYSS. The BUS is covered by a full NRMA membership and AdTrans Hino Breakdown Towing Recovery Service. Membership and contact numbers will be supplied to the BUS Driver, as well as an Emergency Mobile Telephone with relevant RYSS and Emergency Contact Details stored.

  10. The Booking Service shall be responsible for the following in regard to the BUS:

 

GENERAL:

  1. No smoking, eating or drinking is allowed on the BUS at any time

  2. The BUS must be returned in a clean/tidy condition. All resources must be counted back in and returned to their allocated area, cupboards locked, storage crates strapped down, external generator/BBQ/TV housing locked down, food and rubbish removed

  3. The Booking Service will be held liable for all resources lost, stolen or damaged during the Charter Period

  4. A Condition Report,  Odometer Reading, Airbrake Check, Ignition and Shutdown Procedure Checklist must be completed prior to and post the event

  5. Accident and Incident Report Forms must be completed for all damage/injuries sustained during the Charter Period and copied to RYSS immediately post the incident

  6. All parking and traffic violations are the full responsibility of the vehicle’s driver at the time of the offense

  7. Any accident involving the BUS (including any damage caused to or by such a vehicle) must always be immediately reported to RYSS

  8. The Booking Service is responsible for the provision of adequate first-aid supplies for use by passengers. RYSS recommends that the Booking Service carry a fully stocked First Aid Kit.

  9. Failure to comply with any of the Conditions of Charter or the following procedures may result in forfeiting your groups’ future bookings and/or incur a penalty fee.

 

DRIVER:

  1. To be supplied by Booking Service (must be approved by RYSS) or RYSS

  2. Drivers of the RYSS BUS need to hold a current medium-heavy rigid driver’s license without any incumbents

  3. Drivers of the RYSS BUS need to hold a current Working With Children’s Check (WWCC)

  4. The name of the Service Driver/Drivers are to be nominated on the Booking Form, a copy of their drivers’ license, WWCC and a copy of their signed Code of Conduct will be kept at RYSS

  5. Every Driver must undertake a full BUS induction – including wheelchair access, tailgate operation and utilizing resources such as generator, TV, kitchen and BBQ

  6. A Condition Report must be completed prior to and post the event

  7. The Odometer reading must be taken pre and post the event

  8. The Ignition and Shutdown Procedure Checklist must be completed pre and post the event, and signed off on every occasion

  9. Accident and Incident Report Forms must be completed for all damage/injuries sustained during the charter period and copied to RYSS immediately post the incident

  10. All parking and traffic violations are the full responsibility of the vehicle’s driver at the time of the offense

  11. All drivers must be prepared to take a breath test prior to charter, at the discretion of RYSS, and acknowledge that it is illegal to use drugs and 0.0% blood alcohol is mandatory whilst driving the RYSS BUS.

  12. That fatigue management, WHS compliance and road law compliance are the sole responsibility of the Service Driver/Booking Service, and that no responsibility for the aforementioned is implied or assumed by RYSS.

 

AFTER USE OF BUS:

  1. Return the bus with a full tank of diesel fuel

  2. Ensure the BUS is clean/tidy (Cleaning Kit provided)

  3. All rubbish is removed

  4. Power/battery off Shutdown Procedure is completed by the  Driver

  5. Parking site is locked and secured by the Driver

 

KEYS:

  1. Must be returned to RYSS on the return date of the booking unless prior arrangements have been made, and signed by the CEO or Operations Manager of RYSS.

 

CLEANING:

  1. On return the bus must be cleaned to the condition in which it was collected (see condition report) or the cost of cleaning will be charged to the Booking Service.

NOTE: a small cleaning kit is provided on the bus for the use of the Booking Service.
